We stopped in Bowen for lunch at a pub, and a look at the new waterfront development, then decided to stay away from home for one more night. We found a room at Whitsunday Sands Resort - just a short walk down the track to the beach. Very nice!
On Sunday morning we walked down the track to the beach again to take some photos and the visited the markets on our way out of town. We were able to buy beautiful local strawberries and also a few books. One of the book sellers offers a book exchange type service - very handy for travellers like me who accumulate way too many books along the way. We were back home in time for lunch. A short trip this time, but we visited some very nice places.
